Foster Fail
Has kitty stolen your heart? Can't bare to part ways? No problems.
TCR is very happy for every cat of theirs that finds their forever home , even if it means we'll lose a good foster home because of it.
If you are sure you want to adopt your foster cat, let your FC know. The process is the same as any potential adopter. Call the adoption line (416-538-8592) and press 1 to leave a message or submit an ONLINE ADOPTION FORM on our website. An adoption counselor will schedule a screening call with you. Once you are approved, they will ask you to fill out an adoption contract and EMT the adoption fee to TCR.
If you are ever on the fence about whether you'd like to adopt your foster cat yourself, please let your FC know when asked to fill in the adoption biography form. You can have time to decide, but once you submit the adoption bio form, and your foster cat is listed on the website, you have agreed to let the kitty find their furever home away from you.
We cannot backtrack from the adoption process after this point as it is unfair and time consuming for Adoption Counsellors and potential adopters.
